Fire at vacant house damages properties

YOUNGSTOWN — A fire that began at an abandoned West Glenaven Avenue home Sunday damaged two neighboring properties.

Firefighters responded to a structure fire at 544 Glenaven at 3:46 p.m. Damages at the two neighboring properties left the homes uninhabitable, fire officials said.

Both families were assisted by the American Red Cross.
