Woman faces animal cruelty charges

YOUNGSTOWN — A West Side woman was arrested this morning on three counts of animal cruelty after police officers found a starving bull dog in her backyard.

Two additional neglected dogs were found at 11:22 a.m. today in 29-year-old Maureen Marie Markulin’s Matta Avenue home, according to reports.
