Blood on porch leads to man’s arrest

YOUNGSTOWN — Blood on the porch of an abandon home and a broken window led police to the arrest of North Side man Saturday.

Responding to a tip about a broken window, police found 22-year-old Aquila Blue, of 730 Parmalee Avenue, bleeding on a couch in a West Warren Street home. Two children in his care were reported to be naked except for dirty diapers. Police believe he tried to break into a neighboring vacant home, then retreated to the address where he was arrested.

He was transported to St. Elizabeth Health Center, where he attempted to flee. He is charged with child endangering, breaking and entering and escape.
