Trumbull Children Services in pilot program

WARREN — The Trumbull County Children Services Board is among 10 county agencies in Ohio that was selected to participate in a pilot project that focuses on using alternative methods for investigating reports of child abuse and neglect.

Marcia Tiger, executive director of the agency on Reeves Road in Warren, said the program will encourage her agency to continue with measures it has been using for 10 years.

The program, which was funded by the Ohio General Assembly and will be overseen by the Ohio Department of Job And Family Services, will provide funds to experiment with a relatively small number of its cases on new ways of handling certain types of child abuse and neglect complaints.
