Professional women’s club to be featured


YOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown Business and Professional Women’s Club will be featured on Sunday’s “Community Connection” show.

Host Madonna Chism Pinkard will talk to club members Sandra Barger and Linda Deckant about the organization’s Champagne Brunch and Fashion Show to take place Sept. 29. Deckant is the owner of Possessions Boutique, which will provide the fashions and commentary.

Also on the program, Mollie McGovern, assistant news producer of WFMJ-TV, will introduce a new broadcast, “The Young in Youngstown,” a show geared toward helping 20- to 30-year-olds to stay in the Mahoning Valley by offering job development, interview tips and educational instruction.

Next, Jim Leone of Panache Hair Salon will discuss a special Cut-A-Thon fundraiser for hairstylist Lori Marsh, who is suffering from leukemia and has no health insurance.

“Community Connection” airs at 6:30 a.m. on WFMJ-TV 21, and wil be rebroadcast at 7 p.m. on Time Warner Cable educational Channel 15 in Trumbull County.
