Brookfield argues over new school input

BROOKFIELD — Arguments continued Saturday between Brookfield Board of Education members and residents, with one board member accusing another of not listening to community input.

Board member Ronald Brennan said that he doesn’t think other board members are working with the public and a newly formed committee supporting the building of a new school.

He said he would like the board to come to a joint decision with the New Schools Facilities Committee. This committee is trying to gain community input through a series of meetings, every Monday at 6 p.m. at the high school until Nov. 6.

Brennan made a motion for these decisions to be made in agreement between the committee and the school board, but the motion died for lack of a second.
