Seeking nominations
GROVE CITY, Pa. – Grove City College is seeking nominations for the 24th annual Florence E. MacKenzie Campus-Community Awards. The late Florence E. MacKenzie, wife of the fifth Grove City College President Dr. Charles S. MacKenzie, faithfully served both the college and the community, seeking to establish strong town-gown relationships. She was an active member of numerous local organizations and served as president of the former Grove City Hospital’s board.
Nominations should include a letter stating why the nominee should be considered as well as a list of his or her achievements and activities. Nominees should be members of the community who seek to build strong relationships between Grove City College and the town of Grove City, rather than simply being active in one or the other.
Two individuals will be honored — one from the community and one from the college. The deadline for nominations is 5 p.m. Oct. 12. The recipients of the 2007 awards will be announced in mid-October and honored with a reception in November. Letters may be mailed to Campus-Community Awards, Communications Office, Grove City College, 100 Campus Drive, Grove City, Pa. 16127, or e-mailed to news@gcc.edu.
