Phan Bus rolling
again this season
BOARDMAN — Ever wondered what life is like on the road for a Mahoning Valley Phantom player?
Thanks to the Phantom Phan Bus, now you can experience it.
“We did one trip last year with a Phan Bus to Alpena (Mich.),” explains Phantoms assistant coach Curtis Carr. “Everyone seemed to have a really good time. It gives our fans an opportunity to see the game in a bit of a different atmosphere. We had a lot of positive feedback about it, so we decided to do a couple more this year.”
The Phantoms are working on four separate weekend trips this year, three more than last season, allowing fans to experience life on the road in the North American Hockey League. The team will make a return trip to Alpena with their first Phan Bus, Oct. 6 to 7, for the team's first showdown against the Ice Diggers.
“It's a unique experience,” says Carr.
