Valdes-Morrone wedding plans are announced

XThe engagement of Dr. Carmen Maria Valdes and Ralph Conti Morrone, PE, and plans for their upcoming marriage are being announced.

The couple’s wedding will take place at 3 p.m. Oct. 6 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Tampa, Fla., and their reception will be afterward at Tampa Palms Country Club.

Dr. Valdes is a daughter of Dr. Julio J. Valdes and Carmen C. Diaz, both of Tampa. She graduated from the University of South Florida in Tampa and the UNIBE Medical School in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She fulfilled a pediatric residency at Northside Medical Center and is awaiting her license from the Ohio Medical Board.

Mr. Morrone is a son of Christy and Mary Morrone of Lowellville. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Youngstown State University and is a registered professional engineer in the state of Ohio. He is a facilities engineer at YSU, where he is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration through the Williamson College of Business Administration.
