CANFIELD — In the 12th minute of the game, sophomore striker Audrey Smith scored an unassisted goal for Canfield in a Metro Athletic Conference game. Salem goalie Sarah Conrad had 11 saves, while junior goalie Anokha Padubidri had four saves for Canfield (3-1-2, 3-0), which outshot Salem (2-3-1, 0-2-1) 21-6. JVs: Canfield 8-1
Boardman 7, Canton McKinley 0
CANTON — Jaime Avona had three goals, while Chloe Zidian, Samantha Peters, Courtney Gratz and Jenna Mackey had one goal apiece for Boardman (5-0-1, 3-0 Federal League). Jenn Libbey had two assists, while Gratz and Avona each added an assist. Cheyenne Khatib had two saves for the Spartans, who outshot McKinley, 24-2.
North Canton Hoover 2, Fitch 1
AUSTINTOWN — Jackie Nicodemo and Alyssa DeGeorge had a goal apiece for Hoover (4-2-0, 3-0 Federal League). Freshman Kelsey Martin assisted senior Dana Lucido’s lone goal for Fitch (4-2-2, 1-2). Hoover led 1-0 at the half before Lucido tied the game 20 minutes into the second half. DeGeorge’s go-ahead goal came with seven minutes remaining in the contest. Fitch freshman Ali Tolich had three saves, while Hoover goalie Taylor Moceycik had one for the Vikings. JVs: Hoover 3-0
Champion 3, Warren JFK 3
WARREN — Kelli Guaneri scored with six minutes remaining as Warren JFK battled back to tie Champion. JFK (4-2-1) scored first on Jerrica Cooper’s rebound, while the Flashes (4-3-1) scored three straight, two by Erica Stevens and the third by Amanda Perry. JFK’s second goal came by Jaclyn Kolovich. Helena Democopolous had five saves for JFK and Beth Sayers six for the Flashes.
Badger 2, Bristol 2
KINSMAN — Bristol (1-1-1 Northeastern Conference) overcame a 2-0 deficit to tie Badger. All the goals were in the second half as Shawna McNeely and Amelis Deraway scored for Badger (1-1-1) while Jenna Miller provided both of the assists. Jessie and Kate Pajestka both had a goal and an assist for Bristol. Heidi Ulrich had 14 saves for Bristol and Katy Dvorak had 10 saves and Kelsey Flowers one for Badger.
BOYS
Crestview 11, Columbiana 0
NEW WATERFORD — Mitchell See and Aaron Stewart each scored three goals, while Stewart added two assists for Crestview (6-1, 4-0 ITCL Tier One). Austin Elwonger scored twice for the Rebels, while Brian Bechtel, Seth DuMoulin and Nicholas Magill all added goals. Columbiana is 1-6.
Boardman 5, Canton McKinley 2
BOARDMAN — Anthony Grenga scored four goals in the first half to pace the Spartans. Assists came from Phil Curl (two) and Vic Kudav (one). Michael Callahan tallied the final goal in the second half. Sophomore Ryan Giambatista had eight saves for the Spartans (4-3-1, 2-1 Federal League).
