Your last chance to experience the outdoor movies at Yellow Creek Theatre in Poland is tonight. The season ends with the 1947 heartwarming classic, “The Bishop’s Wife,” starring Cary Grant, David Niven, and Loretta Young. Showtime is 8:30 p.m. A jazz band will kick things off at 6:15 p.m. before the film is screened on the Route 224 bridge wall located adjacent to the Poland Library. It’s free.

 There are no fewer than three festivals this weekend that are focused on the apple: The Lordstown Apple Cider Festival opens at 5 p.m. and runs daily through Sunday, in the village. In Hartford, the Apple Festival opens at 6 p.m. and runs through Sunday. And in downtown Lisbon, the Johnny Appleseed Festival opens Saturday at 11 a.m. and runs through Sunday.

It’s Family Night at Boardman Park. Bring lawn chairs and blankets (and of course, the family) to watch “Toy Story.” It’s free, and concessions will be available. Movie starts at 8.

The swirl of kilts, the shirl of pipes and the thunder of drums: nothing symbolizes Scotland more than its music. The MacCallum Highlanders Pipes and Drums will bring the bagpipes from noon to 2:30 p.m. at Woodworth Park in Beaver Township, for Scottish Day. Scottish pastries and articles will be for sale.

Harrisburg, Pa.-based quartet The Jellybricks never fails to amaze with its ability to crank out hook-laden power pop. Catch them at Cedar’s Lounge, 23 N. Hazel St., downtown Youngstown. Munnell Run Farm Days are here. The annual event, sponsored by the county historical society, is held at the farm, which is one mile north of Mercer, Pa., on Route 58. Munnell Run Farm is a 163-acre working farm and an agriculture and ecology education center.
