Sept. 6
Identity fraud: A Columbiana woman discovered two unauthorized transactions totaling $816.72 had been made from her account at Home Savings and Loan, 202 S. Main St.

Sept. 5
Theft: Two Youngstown girls, 15 and 17, were charged after being accused of stealing 28 articles of clothing from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive, and costing the business about $172.
Arrest: Police, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service, picked up a 28-year-old West Boulevard man at his residence. He was charged with failure to report to jail, a misdemeanor.
Theft: Authorities arrested a 27-year-old Poland woman on a theft charge after eight DVDs and a pair of shoes were stolen from Wal-Mart.
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A 30-year-old Knox, Pa., woman was charged after a Boardman man told police his 2005 Chevy Trailblazer had been used without permission.
Fraud: A Jaguar Drive man noticed three fraudulent charges totaling more than $700 were made to his account.
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A customer rented but failed to return a 2007 Dodge Charger from Hertz Local Edition, 8162 Market St.
Arrest: A 21-year-old Columbiana woman was taken into custody at the Southern Park Mall and charged with animal cruelty after someone reported seeing a dog improperly left alone in a vehicle. The interior of the car was about 120 degrees, and the animal collapsed on the pavement, police said.
Identity fraud: A Brookfield Avenue man told officers a phone company notified him of an unauthorized account opened in the victim's name.
Criminal mischief: A Sheridan Road man reported spray-paint damage to his driveway.
Burglary: A woman in the 1800 block of Oles Avenue discovered her apartment had been entered via a basement window, and that her purse was stolen.
Assault: A Youngstown man reported being assaulted while at a Bev Road business. He sustained a bruise in his rib area.
Theft: A $1,500 laptop computer was removed from the Mahoning County Educational Services Center, 100 DeBartolo Place.
Theft: On two occasions, drivers pumped and failed to pay for gasoline before leaving a Get Go station, 6911 South Ave. The thefts came to $48.
Theft: A Youngstown woman reported the theft of $521 from her purse while at a business on Windham Court.
Vehicle theft: A Youngstown man reported his motorcycle stolen while in the 1400 block of Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: Three people left Perkins Family Restaurant, 804 Boardman-Poland Road, without paying their $48 food bill.
Sept. 6
Bad checks: A 36-year-old Campbell woman surrendered to police and was to face two felony counts of passing bad checks related to a situation at a Market Street car dealership.
Breaking and entering: Someone cut a chain-link fence and entered Ride Powersports, 7661 South Ave., before taking a 2007 Polaris all-terrain vehicle.
Criminal damaging: A Hillman Way woman reported someone broke a driver’s-side window to her vehicle and damaged its steering column, in an apparent effort to steal the car.
Criminal damaging: A Boardman woman saw that a key was used to damage her vehicle’s rear fender while she was in the 400 block of Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: A Poland man accidentally left a credit card at a Southern Park Mall business and later noticed four unauthorized purchases totaling $336 were made with it.
Arrest: While investigating a possible stolen car near Marwood Circle, officers arrested a Youngstown woman, 22, on charges of receiving stolen property, identity theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. She provided false information and had two suspected drug pipes, police said.

Theft: A Warren woman, 22, was charged after three DVDs were stolen from Wal-Mart.
Assault: A Youngstown woman suffered a bite mark near her left shoulder as well as a swollen right eye. She reported that she was attacked in the 7400 block of Market Street.
Attempted burglary: Someone tried to enter a Jaronte Drive residence.
Burglary: A homeowner in the 6900 block of West Boulevard found that a screen to a rear window had been cut. Stolen were 10 cans of paint and two silver rings.
Burglary: A woman came home to find that someone had ransacked her Paxton Road home after entering through a rear door. The perpetrator took a wristwatch, coins, a book of 30 checks and an array of jewelry.
Stolen property: Officers, along with U.S. marshals, arrested a Forestridge Drive man, 21, at his residence on one felony count of receiving stolen property. A Boardman woman had discovered three figurines valued at a total of $850 missing from her home.
Arrest: A Youngstown man, 26, was arrested during a traffic stop near Interstate 680 and South Avenue. He was wanted on a felony warrant from Medina County charging him with possession of dangerous drugs.
Sept. 8
Theft: Two pairs of pants worth a total of $50 were stolen from the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall, resulting in a 17-year-old Youngstown boy’s being charged with theft.
Theft: A motorist pumped $15 worth of gasoline and left a Get Go station without paying.
Criminal damaging: A Poland man reported damage to his car's rear tires while in the 7400 block of South Avenue.
Criminal mischief: A worker for a Youngstown company called police after someone poured oil on his work vehicle in the 700 block of Indianola Road.
Sept. 9
Theft: A man reported a $100 patio umbrella stolen from his East Parkside Drive residence.
Theft: A Youngstown boy, 13, was charged after being accused of taking a pack of cigars from a Speedway gas station, 649 E. Midlothian Blvd.
Vandalism: Someone added liquid soap to a fountain at PondScape Ponds Streams & Waterfalls, 40 Boardman-Poland Road.
Arrest: A traffic stop on Market Street resulted in a 20-year-old Youngstown man’s arrest when police learned he was wanted on a felony charge of parole violation. He also was cited on a charge of possession of marijuana.
Arrest: After pulling him over on Gertrude Avenue, officers took into custody a Youngstown man, 19, wanted by Youngstown police on charges of falsification, driving under suspension and possession of drugs. He was also cited after authorities said they found small amounts of suspected marijuana in his vehicle and pocket.
Theft: A woman’s wallet was returned to her after she misplaced it in the 1200 block of Doral Drive. Several items were missing.
