shooting, drug charges

SHARON, Pa. — A Sharon man was arrested and charged with criminal attempt at homicide, aggravated assault, possession with the intent to deliver and recklessly endangering another person. Police said Robert Pegues, 18, of Ravine Place, is in jail after failing to post $100,000 after his arrest Friday. Police said they were called to Budd and New Castle streets at 4:28 p.m. for reports of shots fired. A man at that location claimed three shots were fired and gave police a description of the shooter. No one was injured. Police later saw Pegues, who fit the description. Pegues ran as police tried to detain him. During the chase, he discarded bags of suspected crack cocaine. Police said there were 30 individually wrapped rocks. Pegues was eventually caught and subdued with an electronic shocking device, police said. The gun was not recovered, police said.
