BOYS

Poland 2, Hubbard 1

HUBBARD — Ryan Storkel and Ryan Rovnak each scored a goal for Poland (4-1-0). Blake Rhein made an assist. R.J. Lee scored the goal for Hubbard (2-2-1) on an assist from Miles Williams. Poland had 17 shots on goal, compared to six for Hubbard. Bulldogs goalkeeper Andrew McElroy made five saves. Galen Halek made 15 saves for the Eagles. JVs: Poland 2-0.

Crestview 3, United 1

NEW WATERFORD — Austin Elwonger scored a goal and an assist as Crestview (5-1) rolled past United. Justin Kleinknecht and Mitchell See also scored for the Rebels while Aaron Stewart and Matt Twaddle added assists. United (1-4) got a goal from John Guappone and an assist from Spencer Widlicka.

GIRLS

Canfield 4, Niles 0

NILES — Audrey Smith scored two times for the Cardinals (2-1-2, 2-0 Metro Athletic Conference) while Molly Martin and Audra Frimpong each scored one. Cassie Seemann made an assist for the Cardinals. Canfield made 19 shots on goal and Niles made 14. Goalkeeper Anokha Padubidri, made 10 saves for the Cardinals. Gabby Belcastro made eight saves for the Red Dragons. JVs: Canfield 6-0.

Howland 3, Salem 0

SALEM — Megan Long scored two goals and made an assist. Kelley Drew scored a goal. Tina Albani also made assists for Howland (3-0-3, 2-0 MAC). Howland made 14 shots on goal, while Salem (2-2-1, 0-1-1) made none. JVs: Howland 1-0.

Crestview 4, Struthers 0

STRUTHERS — Janelle Leeson and Brianna Vlaiku each scored two goals for the Rebels (2-6). Olivia Gamble, Amanda Kissinger, Leeson and Vlaiku made an assists apiece. Struthers had 20 shots on goal and Crestview had 17. Kelly Peppel had 20 saves for the Rebels.

Poland 17, East Liverpool 2

POLAND — Becky Hanna made three goals while sisters Taylor Marucci and Tatum Marucci added two goals each to lead Poland (2-0-2). Scoring single goals for the Bulldogs were Alicia Taylor, Kelly Storkel, Sam Robertson, Pam Shure, Jordan Palumbo, Alyssa Hallock, Rachel Cooper, Sheby Ludt and Danielle Carderelli while Erin Eckman made four a ssists. Brooke Beatty and Jaymee McDougle each made a goal for the Potters (0-4-1), while goalkeeper Whitney Perry made 10 saves.

Springfield 5, Youngstown Christian 5

AUSTINTOWN — Allyson Berry scored two goals for the Tigers (4-0-1). Ashley Huffman, Breanne Mincher and Amber Uscianowski scored the other goals. Mincher and Katie Bretz made assists. Goalkeeper Heather Cozak made 12 saves. For the Eagles (4-0-1), Kara Cooper scored four goals and Kristi Cooper made the other in the final minute. Goalkeepers Devanie Womack made 10 saves and Kaitlyn Vestal made five.

Champion 13, Liberty 0

CHAMPION — The Golden Flashes scored eight goals in the first half and five more in the second half to cruise to victory. Marissa Walker scored four goals and Heather Beachy three, while Jessica Craley, amanda Perry, Morgan White, Brittany Wortman, Erika Stevens and Brianna Salgado each made one for Champion (4-3, 3-0 TAC). Lysi Rails and Becca House of Liberty (0-8, 0-4) made 11 and six saves, respectively. JVs: Champion 5-0.
