XAKRON — The Rev. Phil Marson officiated as Joy LoSasso of Stow and Michael R. Newingham of Akron were united in marriage at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 8 at Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens.

Afterward a reception at the hall honored the daughter of Judy Ross of Austintown and the late James R. LoSasso and the son of and Robert and Dolores Newingham of Fairlawn.

After a wedding trip to Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort, the couple are living in Stow.

The bride, who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Youngstown State University, is an employee relations officer with FirstMerit Bank, N.A., in Akron.

The groom, who earned a bachelor’s in marketing management at the University of Akron, is a data solutions engineer with Alltel Communications Inc. in Uniontown.

Ashley DeMain of Silver Springs, Md., cousin of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Susan Schraibman of Sagamore Hills; Sharon Hammond of Little Rock, Ark.; and Malorie and McKenna Newingham of Bath, daughters of the groom. Flower girl was Madison Newingham of Bath, also his daughter.

Best man for his brother was Mark Newingham of Fairlawn. Groomsmen were Bob Stone of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; Lenny Spengler of Akron; and J.T. DeMain of Newtown, Pa., and Caleb Herter of Youngstown, cousins of the bride. Ring bearer was her nephew, Jacob Schraibman, and usher was Chad Schraibman, both of Sagamore Hills.
