XCANFIELD — Maureen Bridget Wingard and Shaun Michael Dongelewic exchanged nuptial vows at 2 p.m. July 14 as they were united in marriage at St. Michael Church. The Rev. Terry Hazel officiated for the daughter of Denny and Bonnie Wingard of Canfield and the son of John and Donna Dongelewic of Troy, N.Y.

The couple accepted congratulations at an evening reception at the Davis Center in Fellows Riverside Gardens at Mill Creek Park. Since returning from a honeymoon in Negril, Jamaica, the couple live in Troy.

Beading and silver embroidery enhanced the bride’s strapless, A-line gown and train of ivory satin.

Aqua gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Katie Wingard, and the bridesmaids, Maria Carbon, Ashley Gay, Kristi Stock and Taryn Rizer. The flower girl, Gabriella Wingard, wore a white gown.

Best man was Christian Dongelewic, and groomsmen were Johnny Winston, Ryan Winston, Jason Schofield and Russell Armstrong.

The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. She is employed by Glenville Scotia School District in New York as a teacher’s assistant to the reading specialist and will pursue a master’s in literacy at the University of Albany.

The groom, a field technician with Verizon Communications, graduated from ITT College with a degree in information technology. He is pursuing an associate in telecommunications technology at Clinton Community College in Plattsburgh, N.Y.
