XHUBBARD — Married on July 14 during a 4:30 p.m. ceremony at Julia’s Bed & Breakfast were Marie Laird of Austintown, daughter of Charles and Judy Laird of Mineral Ridge, and Steve Swain of Poland, son of John Forest Swain of Sterling and the late Kandace L. Swain.

The Rev. Michael Roberts officiated.

The bride wore a fully-beaded gown of Italian silk and French lace.

Yvonne Stanko was honor attendant, and bridesmaids were Stephanie Clark, Wendy Skarote and Kaitlyn Stevens. Their gowns were red. Nicole Rotunno was junior bridesmaid, and flower girls were Angelina Rotunno and Bethany Gledhill, a cousin.

Attending the groom were Pat Skarote as best man; his brother, Tom Swain, Anthony Biondillo, Brian Roller, Kurt Stemple and Jason Toot as groomsmen; D.J. Skarote as junior groomsman; and Alex Skarote as ring bearer.

After a reception at The Georgetown in Boardman, the couple left on a honeymoon cruise to Europe and the Mediterranean.

The bride, a graduate of the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy, is a national sales representative with Amazing Charts of Saunderstown, R.I.

The groom, a graduate of Youngstown State University and Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, is a doctor in private practice in Austintown.

The couple live in Poland.
