Howland girls blank Niles
Poland tripped Salem 3-2, while Canfield rolled past East Liverpool 10-0.
HOWLAND — Anna Wall, Tyler Nicholas and Gina Albani scored goals Thursday as the Howland High girls soccer team defeated Niles, 3-0.
Abby Nicholas had two assists and Jessica Wilson had one for the Tigers (2-0-2, 1-0 Metro Athletic Conference).
Howland had 20 shots on goal and Niles had two.
Gabby Belcasro had 17 saves for the Red Dragons (1-1-2).
JVs: Howland 3-0.
Poland 3, Salem 3
POLAND — Becky Hanna, Jordan Palumbo and Alicia Taylor scored for the Bulldogs (1-0-1, 0-0-1 MAC).
Hanna, Shelby Ludt and Sam Robertson had assists. Goalkeeper Erin Eckman made seven saves.
For the Quakers (2-1-1, 1-0-1), Suzanne Waterbeck, Dana Webb and Stephanie Paparodis scored. Paparodis had an assist. Goalkeeper Sarah Conrad made 10 saves.

Canfield 10, East Liverpool 0
CANFIELD — Noelle Fox scored four goals for the Cardinals (1-1-1).
Audrey Smith added three goals while Devin Shryock, Clara Harvey and Chelsea Krebel added one apiece.
Shea Price, Shryock and Kelly Fening each had two assists, while Jenne Battaglia and Arica LaMagna had one apiece.
Canfield took 33 shots and the Potters had two. Shari Burchett had 17 saves for East Liverpool.
Mooney 1,
Chippewa Doylestown 1
DOYLESTOWN — Junior Katie Griswald scored on a penalty kick for Mooney (2-1-0) while Emily Steele scored for Chippewa Doylestown (3-1-0).
Kay Young had the assist on Steele’s goal.
After a scoreless half, Griswald scored seven minutes into the second half before Steele scored with eight minutes left.
Mooney senior goalie Meagan McGlaughlin had three saves.

Youngstown Christian 6, Harding 1
AUSTINTOWN — Senior Kara Cooper and sophomore sister Kristi Cooper three apiece for the Eagles (4-0).
Sophomore goalie Kaitlyn Vestal had 10 saves during the first half, before sophomore Devanie Womack added 12 stops in the second half for the winners.
Harding dropped to 4-2.
Champion 4, Hubbard 0
CHAMPION — Amanda Perry scored two goals while Heather Beachy and Morgan White netted one each for the Golden Flashes (2-3, 2-0 Trumbull Athletic Conference).
White, Marissa Walker and Briana Salgado earned assists. Goalkeeper Beth Sayers made two saves.
For the Eagles (2-4, 2-2), goalkeeper Gordan Miriah made three saves.

Warren JFK 7, Pymatuning Valley 2
WARREN — Erin McBride scored three goals while Jerrica Cooper had two for the Eagles (4-0-0).
Also scoring for JFK were Kelli Kovac and Melissa Esposito.
Cooper and Kerri Guanieri had two assists while Emily Esposito, Gina Gelsomino and Adrian Ashdown had one.
Goalkeepers Helina Democopolous and Audrey Prokop each made two saves.
For Pymatuning Valley, goalkeeper Lauren Seman made 29 saves.
