Malenic 50th is celebrated with reception
XPOLAND — Celebrated Aug. 26 during a dinner and reception at A La Cart Catering in Canfield was the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Malenic Sr., 368 Johnston Place.
Invitations for the event were extended by their sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Patty Malenic of Youngstown, Mark and Sheri Malenic of New Middletown, Matthew and Christina Malenic of Yokota, Japan, and Martin and Kim Malenic of Poland. There are nine grandchildren in the family.
Mr. Malenic and his wife, the former Magdalene Mahin, are members of Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Youngstown, where they were united in marriage Aug. 24, 1957.
Mrs. Malenic retired in 1993 as a teller at Union National/Bank One in Youngstown.
Mr. Malenic, a veteran of the Korean War, served as a corporal in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955. He was employed in sales with Lake Park Tool and Die and with Del Realty, and is presently employed at Sears Automotive. He is a member of Poland Knights of Columbus.
The couple are members of Holy Rosary at the church and of St. George Croatian Lodge 66.
