Gabricks mark anniversary on family vacation


XAUSTINTOWN — The celebration of the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gabrick, 291 S. Aldrich Road, was a highlight of a family vacation taken to the Outer Banks in Salvo, N.C., during the last week in June.

Hosting the celebration were the couple’s sons and their wives, Robert and Chris Gabrick of Poland, Ronald and Liz Gabrick of Cincinnati, and Michael and Beth Gabrick of Carmel, Ind., and their four grandchildren, Sarah, Joshua, Meghan and David Gabrick.

The couple had also marked the occasion by attending an anniversary Mass celebrated by Bishop George V. Murry on June 10 at St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown, and a family dinner hosted afterward by Robert and Chris Gabrick at the Springfield Grille in Boardman.

The former Irma Jean Myers and Mr. Gabrick were married Sept. 7, 1957, at St. Joseph Church, Youngstown. They are members of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.

Mrs. Gabrick was a bookkeeper with Dollar Bank in Youngstown.

Mr. Gabrick served with the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired in 1997 after 30 years as a plant superintendent with Amweld Building Products in Niles, seven years with Wayne Dalton Door Division and three years with Accura Tool Co. He is a member of Mahoning Valley Management Association.
