COLUMBUS — If you’re not wearing red, white or gray in Ohio Stadium, you run the risk of drawing looks similar to the ones Homer Simpson received from his co-workers the day he wore a pink shirt.

Looking at the crowd from high atop the stadium in the press box, about 90-percent-plus of those in attendance are wearing those colors — scarlet and gray are the official colors of Ohio State and it’s red and white for Youngstown State.

The three colors are so dominant in the stands that I can clearly spot a guy across the field from the press box wearing a yellow shirt.

Had I known this, I wouldn’t have worn a blue shirt.
