Dominion customers
to get 1-month decrease
CLEVELAND — Dominion East Ohio customers who buy their gas from the utility will see a 9 percent decrease in their gas costs from Sept. 14 to Oct. 14. The company said Friday that its Standard Service Offer rate for that period will be $6.87 per thousand cubic feet, which is a decrease of 68 cents from the current rate.
The Standard Service Offer, which accounts for a majority of a customer’s bill, represents the utility’s costs of buying gas. State law prohibits utilities from earning a profit on the sale of gas.
The rate applies to about one-third of East Ohio’s customers who don’t buy gas from an outside supplier.
Limousine service
holds grand opening
BOARDMAN — Affluent Travel and VIP Limousine recently celebrated a grand-opening event for its new location at 6951 Southern Blvd. The companies moved to the location a year ago.
Jeffrey Snoke founded Affluent Travel of Columbiana in 1999 and bought VIP, which was located in Warren, in 2002. He said he opened the Boardman location because he wanted both businesses under one roof. Affluent operates larger limousine buses, while VIP operates car-based models.
