Henry, Powell spark Mohawk’s 34-14 win

BESSEMER, Pa. — Michael Henry caught 24- and 10-yard touchdown passes from quarterback Seth Powell in leading Mohawk to a 34-14 victory over Cornell Friday in a season opener.

The Warriors’ dominated as they put 27 points on the board by halftime.

Rusty Kowher put Mohawk out in front when he returned a fumble 53 yards for a TD with 8:16 remaining in the first quarter.

The Warriors’ Chase Frederick turned a punt 51 yards for a TD in the second quarter.

Travis Schubert and Keith Jackson each scored on a 5-yard run.
