Westminster 2, Grove City 1 — Westminster will meet Washington & Jefferson in the championship game of the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Saturday. Grove City is 15-3-1. The second-seeded Titans are 14-4-2. Washington & Jefferson is 9-10-2. Junior midfielder Christina Adams (Hubbard) scored for the Titans against Grove City. Sophomore goalkeeper Lindsey Mellott (Lakeview) made four saves for the Titans, who out-shot the Wolverines, 17-8, including five by Adams.
Wash & Jefferson 1, Thomas More 0 — Junior Beth Reefer (Slippery Rock High) scored the game’s only goals with nine minutes remaining.
VOLLEYBALL
PAC tournament
Grove City def. Thiel 3-1 (30-27, 28-30, 30-24, 30-27) — The Wolverines had three players post double-digit kill totals. Natalie Liberati collected 21 kills, Kate Skinner and Jen Plyler had 17 and 12 kills, respectively. For Thiel, freshman Brooke Zeigler and sophomore Abbey Kiger (Mineral Ridge) had 18 and 17 kills, respectively. Annie Semko (South Range H.S.) added a match-high nine total blocks (six solo) for the Tomcats.
Washington & Jefferson def. Waynesburg 3-0 (30-26, 32-30, 30-22) — The Presidents were led by sophomore Monika Linden with 14 kills, four blocks and four digs. Senior Beth Mihalik added eight kills and six blocks for the Presidents. For Waynesburg, sophomore Jenna Heaston led the offense with nine kills.
