West Side rental property stripped

YOUNGSTOWN — A vacant rental property at 1537 Salt Springs Road on the West Side was stripped of its water heater, copper pipes and wiring worth about $1,000, police said.

The renter who had moved and returned to the house for the rest of his things discovered the theft. It wasn’t immediately clear how the thief broke into the house. The theft was reported Monday afternoon.
