Warren man confesses to two city robberies

WARREN — A 19-year-old man police had been seeking for committing two robberies here has surrendered and admitted to the crimes, police say.

Kristopher Henry, of Stanton Avenue, appeared today before municipal Judge Thomas Gysegem, who set bond at $100,000 and a preliminary hearing for Nov. 2. He remains in the Trumbull County Jail on two counts of aggravated robbery.

Henry is charged with the Oct. 19. robbery of the Dollar General Store on Parkman Road in which $600 was taken, and the Oct. 20 robbery of the BP service station on East Market Street in which the thief took the cash drawer but dropped it when he was fleeing.

Detective Wayne Mackey said Henry surrendered Friday afternoon and told police he wasn’t the robber, but later admitted to the heists.
