Coitsville man shot on Youngstown’s East Side

YOUNGSTOWN — A 34-year-old Coitsville man was shot while walking on Park Vista Drive from a friend’s house.

Andrew Tokar, who listed the Kings Motel in Coitsville as his residence, told police the passenger in a red car shot him for no reason at 12:39 a.m. today. The shooting happened shortly after Tokar said he left his friend’s house on Sunshine Avenue on the city’s East Side.

Tokar was shot on the left side of his abdomen with a wound on the right side.

He was listed in critical condition today at the St. Elizabeth Health Center.
