A look back

Highlights from the history of MS Consultants:

1967: Thomas F. Mosure co-founded Mosure-Fok Engineering Co.

1971: Thomas Syrakis joins as a partner and the firm eventually is known as Mosure and Syrakis Co.

1972: Opens a Columbus office.

1973: Opens a Canton office.

1982: Creates Mosure & Associates, an affiliate company that provides architectural services.

1983: Opens an Akron office.

1985: Opens an office in Coraopolis, Pa.

1990: Company renamed MS Consultants as the affiliate company is merged into the main company to create a firm that offers engineering, architectural and planning services.

1997: Acquires K. Anthony Hayek & Associates of Youngstown to enhance its architectural staff.

1998: Opens offices in Charleston, W.Va., and Indianapolis.

1999: Acquires a Sanford, N.C., engineering firm.

2001: Opens a Cleveland office.

2004: Acquires a Raleigh, N.C., engineering firm to expand its North Carolina office.

2006: Opens an office in Mechanicsburg, Pa.
