Man charged in court incident

GIRARD — An Austintown man will be back in Girard Municipal Court to face charges he racked up while in court — trying to protest charges filed against him in an earlier case.

According to court personnel, Joseph Radetic, 53, of Crabwood Road, Austintown, went to the court Wednesday afternoon and asked to see the prosecutor in regard to a complaint against city police. Radetic, while waiting, began cursing at court employees and a few other people near him, and was being disruptive. He was asked to leave the court.

Police reports say officers were sent to the court after Radetic refused to leave, but he then began talking loudly to the officers, saying that he was not going anywhere. He was arrested for disorderly conduct.

While in police custody, Radetic, according to reports, began picking at a tattoo on his arm and causing it to bleed. He refused to heed police warnings to stop.

Police released Radetic with instructions not to return to the court, or he’ll face additional charges. He was released out the back door of the police station and immediately walked to the front entrance of the building where the court is located, pushing his way past officers and trying to enter the building.

He was again arrested for disorderly conduct.

Radetic, court personnel said, had a theft charge pending in the court. He now also faces a charge of misdemeanor assault and two charges of misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
