DeYor center to be site
of nanotechnology forum

YOUNGSTOWN — The Nanotechnology Manufacturer’s Forum will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at DeYor Performing Arts Center, 260 Federal Plaza West. Speakers will address how nanotechnology applications can be used in traditional manufacturing. The event is sponsored by the Nano-Network and the Mahoning & Shenango Valley Advanced Manufacturing Initiative.

Cortland Bancorp posts
earnings of $1.08 million

CORTLAND — Cortland Bancorp earned $1.08 million in the third quarter, compared with $1.06 million in the same quarter last year.

Lawrence Fantauzzi, company president and chief executive, said Cortland Bancorp has seen improvement in its asset quality, contrary to what’s happening at many financial institutions. Loans for which a borrower is 90 days past due amounted to $2.82 million on Sept. 30, compared with $3.83 million a year earlier.
