Poland drops Div. I contest to Hoover

NORTH CANTON — Jackie Nicodemo scored four goals Wednesday to lead the North Canton Hoover girls soccer team to a 5-2 victory over Poland.

Alyssa Marulli had the other goal for the Vikings (15-2-2) in the Division I semifinal tournament game. Hoover goalkeeper Taylor Maceyak made 11 saves.

For Poland (10-6-3), Katie Hiznay and Kelly Storkel scored while Shelby Ludt had an assist. Pam Shure made 11 saves.
