• James Simpson and Brea Loewit-Simpson of Youngstown announce the birth of their first children, twin boys, on Oct. 12 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna. Evan Oliver and Elijah James are grandsons of Tom and Kathy Simpson, and Barb and Dale Loewit, all of Boardman.

• Announced by Dr. Matthew and Julieann (Ray) Cheng of Lebanon, Va., is the birth of their first child, a son, Luke Ray Cheng, on Oct. 3 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Va. Grandparents of the infant are Mike and Rocky Ray of Youngstown and Serafin and Ruby Cheng of Manila, Philippines. The great-grandmother is Angeline Montmore of Youngstown.
