Blitz Bash 2007 takes over Poland Friday

YOUNGSTOWN — “Blitz Bash 2007” will mark the end of the Vindicator’s inaugural Blitz regular season football coverage.

Blitz Bash will be a fun tailgate event open to anyone who can make it to Poland High School Friday afternoon. The event will run from 4:30-6:30 p.m., leading up to the Poland-Canfield football game.

Food, music and freebies, including our very first Blitz T-shirts and posters, will be part of the event.

The highlight of the event will be a video football challenge between Canfield and Poland using the Xbox and Madden game systems.

Team Canfield will feature: Brian Nash, Bobby Collins, Duane Mancini, Matt Keating, Eli Lamberson, Donnie Lewis, Anthony Luchansky and Mario Nigro.

Team Poland features: David White, Andy Dewar, Gary Mrozek, Brian Witt, Tony Dibo, Stewart Ducheck, Nate Podboy and Ben Mochtyak.

Their two-game square-off will start at 4:30 p.m., with Rent-A-Center providing the game, the large screen and the living room.

Food will come from Santa Fe, Friendly’s, Bruno’s and The Vindicator.
