Knitting clubs will gather to ‘Click for a Cause’

YOUNGSTOWN — Three Valley knitting organizations will come together from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, which has been designated “Make a Difference Day,” at the Butler Institute of American Art, Wick Avenue.

The Western Reserve Knitting Guild of Canfield, Unity Church Centre Prayer Shawl Ministry of Liberty and the Liberty Knitting Group of Girard will meet to “Click for a Cause.” They will be making baby blankets, booties and hats for needy families in the Mahoning Valley.

A blessing ceremony will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Unity Church Centre of Girard, 1226 Naylor-Lloyd Road, to bless the mini layettes made the day before and present them to representatives of the Volunteer Services Agency for distribution.
