Autism Society seeks community involvement

YOUNGSTOWN — The Tri-County Chapter of the Autism Society of Ohio is sponsoring its fifth annual reverse raffle, dinner and Halloween dance on Saturday at the Italian-American Veterans Centre, 115 S. Meridian Road.

The evening will begin with appetizers at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30, and the dance afterward. There will be a $2,000 prize for the winner of the reverse raffle, and a $250 prize for the best costume.

The community is invited to become involved in the fundraiser by donating items for a Chinese auction or through $20 sponsorships that are available.

Proceeds from the event will be used toward the building of a group home designed to specifically house older adults with autism in a supervised environment.

The cost for the entire evening is $75, and a guest ticket is $25. Tickets can be reserved by calling (330) 720-1365.
