Vandals deface Volney Rogers school

YOUNGSTOWN — Spray painted hate symbols and racial epithets were removed by maintenance workers at Volney Rogers Junior High School, police said. At the north end of the building on North Hazelwood Avenue, someone sprayed the n-word twice, swastikas in three places, KKK in two locations and white power with the figure of a Klansman, reports show. The vandalism was discovered Monday.
