Spray used to disperse high school crowd
YOUNGSTOWN — Pepper spray had to be used by police to break up a large crowd that kept moving on the East Side after the teenagers first gathered to watch a fight at Bennington Avenue and Stewart Street, near East High School, after school on Monday.
The crowd moved to McGuffey Road and Kimmel Street, shouting obscenities at the officer on the scene. Four East students, two ninth-graders and two juniors, were taken into custody, charged with disorderly conduct and then released to parents or guardians.
