CANFIELD — ProjectSpace, which produces Web-based collaboration software, has introduced www.Our-FamilySpace.com, a Web site that helps divorced, noncustodial parents have virtual visits with their children. Tools such as video conferencing, calendars, e-mail and other technologies are built into FamilySpace, meaning there’s no software to install and nothing to download.

Features include live audio and video, instant messaging and photo albums.

“Our-FamilySpace helps co-parents maintain and nurture a parent-child relationship and be able to share their lives together no matter where they are,” said Randy Horton, president and chief executive of ProjectSpace.

POLAND — Kegelles, a woman’s specialty clothing boutique, will mark its grand re-opening with a Fall Fashion and Beauty Event from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. The store at 14 N. Main St. has been closed for remodeling. The event will feature informal modeling of new fall fashions by Robert Rodriguez, Cynthia Steffe, Elie Tahari and others.

Federal patents awarded
to inventors in Valley

YOUNGSTOWN — Federal patents have been awarded to local inventors of two new devices.

John J. Kiraly of Canfield has developed an elevating device to lift people or objects. One part of the device is secured to a stationary object, such as a tree, while another part lifts a platform. The U.S. Patent & Trademark Office said the patent was assigned to King Tool & Manufacturing Co. of Youngstown.

Dale J. Smutny of Canfield and Lisa J. McClearn of Warren have developed an electrical connector with a secondary lock. The patent was assigned to Delphi Technologies of Troy, Mich.

Ohio utilities service
upgrades its Web site

LIBERTY — The Ohio Utilities Protection Service has launched an enhanced Web site at www.oups.org. The site has features for Ohio homeowners and excavation and contracting professionals who are seeking information about the state’s “Call Before You Dig” law. The Liberty-based agency said the site includes updated graphic elements, easier navigation and an electronic “suggestion box.” Ohio law requires residents and companies to contact a notification center at least two business days before conducting an excavation.

New flea market opens

HUBBARD — Jeff Anglin has opened Hubbard Flea Market at 5700 Youngstown-Hubbard Road. It features a variety of vendors offering new and used merchandise, including furniture, jewelry, clothing and electronics.
