MUC NOTES From Mt. Union Stadium


TV with Tait: Mount Union’s game against B-W will be broadcast via television tape delay today at 1 p.m. on TV52 (Canton/Massillon). The game can accessed on UHF Channel 52 and Time Warner 585. Cleveland Cavaliers broadcaster Joe Tait will provide play-by-play.

Fighting for third: Nate Kmic finished with 113 yards on a season-high 26 carries against B-W. The junior has 4,322 career yards and is 96 shy of moving past John Carroll’s Willie Beers for third on the OAC career rushing list.

Pierre watch: Wideout Pierre Garcon caught a touchdown pass and is now just three scores short of breaking Adam Marino’s Mount Union record of 40 receiving touchdowns. He also scored a rushing touchdown against B-W.

Just for kicks: Mount Union kicker Mike Zimmerman hit 5-of-5 extra point attempts Saturday and has made an OAC-record 93 straight point-after tries. The streak dates to Oct. 14, 2006.
