Hanni hospitalized after suffering stroke

YOUNGSTOWN — Atty. Don L. Hanni Jr. remains hospitalized at The Cleveland Clinic after suffering what a family member termed a mild stroke.

Hanni, believed to be 82, was first taken to St. Joseph Hospital in Warren and transferred to The Cleveland Clinic on Friday night, said his son, Don Hanni III.

A report on his condition was unavailable Sunday night. Hanni, a former chairman of the Mahoning County Democratic Party, is a well-known defense attorney who has practiced law for more than 50 years.

He was inducted into the Mahoning County Democratic Party Hall of Fame in November 2005.
