Fuscos celebrate 60th anniversary of wedding vows

XPOLAND — Benjamin and Etta Fusco, 1792 Palo Verde Drive, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Oct. 18 at a dinner at the Olive Garden in Boardman.

Hosts for the celebration are their children and their spouses, Terry and Jackie Fusco of Boardman, Karen and Steve Altier of Poland, and James Slavin of Youngstown. The Fuscos are also the parents of the late Cheryl Slavin and the late Larry Fusco.

Mr. and Mrs. Fusco have 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

The former Etta Hatmaker and Mr. Fusco were married Oct. 18, 1947, in Chester, W.Va.

She retired in 1989 as a cashier for Kroger’s in Youngstown.

He retired in 1983 as a driver for Borden Dairy in Boardman. He served in the Navy in World War II in the South Pacific.

The Fuscos are members of Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church.
