Pelosi praises incubator and Ryan at Youngstown tour

YOUNGSTOWN — Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi praised the Youngstown Business Incubator today “as a model for the nation.”

Pelosi toured the downtown incubator with U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan of Niles, D-17th, and local business leaders. Afterward, the speaker praised the facility, saying it “is a leader in growing the local economy.”

She also called Ryan a leader in Congress who has served with “great distinction.” In particular, Pelosi pointed to Ryan’s efforts to preserve Social Security and promote funding for high-tech businesses.

Ryan said having Pelosi visit what he called “the gem of our community” bodes well for its continued funding from the federal government.

Pelosi was to attend fundraisers later today in Niles and Liberty.
