No felony charge for cheerleading coach
YOUNGSTOWN — The Chaney High School cheerleading coach charged after a disturbance at the school earlier this month will not face any felony charges.
Angela J. Jones, 38, of East Ravenwood, dressed in business attire, appeared before Judge Elizabeth Kobly for a preliminary hearing on a charge of felonious assault on a police officer and a pretrial hearing on misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and inducing panic.
Jones is accused of arguing and yelling with police who were trying to disperse a large crowd at the school and of telling students not to respond to officers’ commands.
