“Run, Granny, Run” (9 p.m., HBO): One of America’s oldest political newcomers — a feisty 89-year-old grandma — is profiled.

“30 Rock” (9:30 p.m., NBC): Guest star alert: Steve Buscemi drops by “30 Rock,” where he plays a private investigator hired by Jack to keep GE from digging up dirt on him. Meanwhile, there’s trouble for Tracy as his wife (Sherri Shepherd), announces a new plan to shadow him at all times to make sure he’s behaving.

“Viva Laughlin” (10 p.m., CBS): “Viva Laughlin” is one of the strangest new shows of the season. It’s a drama-mystery with music (Oh no, shades of “Cop Rock”!) Lloyd Owen stars as a freewheeling businessman whose attempts to open a new casino are hampered when his ex-business partner is found murdered. He’s also known to break out in song at a moment’s notice. Hugh Jackman and Melanie Griffith guest star.

“Mad Men” (10 p.m., AMC): The lunacy at a 1960s ad agency comes to a close for this season.
