Fire does $35K damage to North Side home

YOUNGSTOWN — A second-floor fire at 530 Tod Lane did $35,000 in damage to the house and contents Tuesday afternoon, and the cause is under investigation, the fire department said.

Firefighters found material for a new furnace and air conditioning unit in the driveway and learned that workers installing the new furnace had been on the second floor and attic, reports show.
