How smart are you? Take a test Saturday to find out

HOWLAND — A national Mensa test is being offered Saturday at the Howland Public Library, 9095 E. Market St.

Marilyn Carpenter, a local Mensa member, will oversee the test and pre-registration is advised. Those who want to take the test should call her at (330) 538-3263, or e-mail her at mscarpenter330@yahoo.com.

The cost of the test is $40 and it will run from 2 to 4 p.m.

Mensa is an international society of about 100,000 people in which the only qualification for membership is a score in the top 2 percent of the general population on a standardized intelligence test.

The organization’s purpose is to identify and foster intelligence while providing a stimulating intellectual and social environment for its members.
