Cardinal Mooney and South Range remain the area’s highest ranked teams in the Associated Press high school football poll. Mooney has been No. 1 all season in Division IV and holds a 92-point lead over No. 2 Kettering Alter. South Range is No. 2 in Div. V, outvoted only by Maria Stein Marion Local. Ursuline is No. 6 in Div. V, while Howland and Canfield are fifth and eighth, respectively, in Div. II, and West Branch is No. 10 in Div. III. Mathews and Mineral Ridge in Div. V, and Warren JFK, McDonald and Columbiana in Div. VI also received votes.
