AUCTIONS

• Nativity of Christ Church, 727 Miller Ave., will hold a Chinese auction Sunday at the church. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m., and the auction will begin at 3. Admission is $5 and includes a sheet of tickets, dessert, coffee and chances for a door prize. Additional tickets will be available for raffle items valued at $50 or more, and there will be a 50-50 drawing. • North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will hold a fund-raising auction at 6 p.m. Thursday. Available will be handmade items, business and restaurant gift certificates, theme baskets and miscellaneous items. There will also be a bake sale, and a lunch stand will open at 4:30.

BAZAARS

• Ohltown United Methodist Church, 2001 Ohltown Road, Austintown, will hold an annual bazaar, bake sale and turkey dinner Nov. 10. The dinner is by reservation (required by Nov. 7) and will feature turkey with all the trimmings and pie, served family style. The cost is $7.50 for adults, $3 for children 6 to 12 and free for those 5 and under. To reserve a carryout meal, call (330) 652-4298 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Nov. 1 to 7.

• Zion Lutheran Church will hold a bazaar and spaghetti dinner Saturday at the church, 10857 Main St., New Middletown. Bazaar hours will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. featuring handmade items, crafts, baked goods, jewelry and white elephant items. Lunch of soup and sandwiches will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Spaghetti dinners will be served from 4:30 to 7 p.m.; cost is $7 for adults, $3.50 for children 7 to 12 and free for those 6 and under. CARD/BINGO PARTIES

CRAFT SHOWS

• Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, 291 Scoville Drive, Vienna, will hold a sixth annual craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free. There will be a Chinese auction and basket raffle, and refreshments will be available.

SALES

• Delightful Evangelical Church Ladies Aid will hold a rummage sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the church, 2473 Barclay Messerly Road, Southington. Sandwiches and soup will be available for lunch, and soup will be sold by the quart.

• The annual St. Vincent de Paul Society benefit show will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday at Boardman High School Performing Arts Center, 777 Glenwood Ave. There will be music, songs and dances. The cost is $20 per person. For tickets, call the society at (330) 746-3936.

SPECIAL EVENTS

• Lake Milton Presbyterian Church, 942 Grandview Road, will sponsor its fourth annual Apple Butter Festival all day Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. Featured will be apple treats such as dumplings and pie, and other festival fare. Set-up is free for craft or produce vendors.

TOURNAMENTS

• A no-limit Texas Holdem Tournament will be held Oct. 27 at St. Lucy Parish Banquet Center, 394 Tenney Ave., Campbell. Doors will open at 5 p.m., and play will begin at 6. Seating is limited. The buy-in of $70 entitles patrons to $2,800 in chips, and the first 200 to preregister by Oct. 26 will be guaranteed a seat and will receive $200 extra chips.
