Mahoning SWC sets election of supervisors

YOUNGSTOWN — The Mahoning Soil and Water Conservation District will hold an election for its Board of Supervisors and an annual meeting banquet on Oct. 30 at La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon Street, Canfield.

Four people are running for two seats — Terry Abrams of Struthers, Garry Ruggles Jr. of North Jackson, Richard Scarsella of Boardman and Jeff Wisler of Salem. The seats are for three-year terms.

To request an absentee ballot, call or visit the SWCD office at 850 Industrial Road. Voters can also cast a ballot at the district office on Oct. 30 by noon, or vote at the annual meeting from 6 to 6:45 p.m. Reservations for the banquet must be received by Oct. 22.
