“The Price Is Right” (11 a.m., CBS): Drew Carey is center stage beginning today as the new host of the syndicated game show. He takes over from the legendary Bob Barker, who retired after 35 years at the end of last season. Carey, who also hosts the game show “Power of 10,” said he is adjusting to the fast-paced feeling of “Price.” He’s also learning the show’s features, such as Hi-Lo, so he can guide contestants through to the “Showcase” round. Come on down!

“Two and a Half Men” (9 p.m., CBS): Hard to believe, but TV’s top-rated comedy, “Two and a Half Men,” has reached its milestone 100th episode. The plot has Charlie getting ever so close to consummating his relationship with Linda, but he begins to see Rose’s face everywhere he turns.

“October ’87: Crash & Comeback” (9 p.m., CNBC): The markets were soaring, and Wall Street was where everyone wanted their money to be. Then an unprecedented five-year bull market hit a wall. The date: Oct. 19, 1987, known as Black Monday. Now observing a 20-year anniversary many investors would like to forget, CNBC presents “October ’87: Crash & Comeback.” This one-hour documentary revisits Black Monday with the people who were there: the traders, the financial reporters and power brokers including Alan Greenspan, then Federal Reserve chairman, and John Phelan, former chairman of the New York Stock Exchange. It analyzes what went wrong and sizes up new procedures designed to prevent another market meltdown.

“Samantha Who?” (9:30 p.m., ABC): Christina Applegate makes a welcome return to series television in this offbeat sitcom about a woman struggling to right the wrongs of her life after emerging from a coma. Applegate, who first caught our attention as naughty Kelly Bundy in “Married ... With Children,” plays Samantha Newly, who, following an auto accident and a hospital stay, develops amnesia. Slowly, Sam comes to learn that she wasn’t the nicest of people before the crash. She was superficial, materialistic and, apparently, she cheated on her boyfriend (Barry Watson). Now, she’s determined to make good, despite the bad influence of a pal (Jennifer Esposito) who actually liked the old Sam and doesn’t want to see her go. The cast includes the hilarious Jean Smart as Sam’s self-centered mother.
